Every figure below is a constraint we chose. Each one makes the lab slower or more expensive to run — and the result harder to fake.
The referee, not
a player.
Most "certificates of analysis" in circulation were produced by the same company selling the product. When the vendor grades their own homework, the grade is worth exactly what you'd expect.
Gold Standard exists to be the neutral party. We have no brand, no product line, and no affiliate deals — the only thing we ship is the accuracy of a result. That independence is structural, not a slogan: there is no arrangement under which it benefits us to report a number that isn't true.
So we built the lab to make cheating impossible rather than merely discouraged. Samples are opened on camera, accessioned against blind codes, run on weekly-calibrated instruments, peer-reviewed before signing, and published to a database anyone can search. If a result is uncomfortable, it still gets published — that's the whole point.

A result is only as defensible as the instrument that produced it. We source hardware, reagents, and consumables exclusively through the manufacturers and distributors the pharmaceutical industry already audits — never grey-market or refurbished-of-unknown-origin.

Product chemistry and environmental chemistry ask different questions, so they run on different hardware. Every instrument below is calibrated on a documented schedule, and the method reference is printed on the certificate.
If we're wrong,
you don't pay.
A guarantee is the only claim a lab can make that costs it something. Ours is simple: if we miss the turnaround we quoted, or an accredited third-party lab materially contradicts our result on a re-test of the same retained sample, we refund the panel in full.
We retain every sample for 90 days precisely so this is checkable. Nobody has to take our word for it — that's the point of running the lab this way.
