Plant growth regulator testing
Plant growth regulators are banned on consumable crops in most states and are not covered by every pesticide panel. They are screened here specifically, by LC-MS/MS, to parts per billion.

Sample requirements and shipping
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Flower or biomass | Requirement5 g sealed |
| Extract or concentrate | Requirement1 g sealed |
| Growing media or nutrient | Requirement200 g or 250 mL, to trace a source |
| Condition | RequirementRoom temperature. If you are tracing a source, send the input alongside the plant material. |
Order first, then ship. A prepaid label is emailed when payment lands, and the carrier scan on that label opens your chain of custody. We accept no walk-in drop-off, and we hold no DEA registration, so no Schedule I to V material.
Why the method matters
Standard multi-residue pesticide panels do not always include growth regulators, because they are not pesticides. A product can pass a pesticide screen and still carry paclobutrazol, which is why this is offered as its own panel.
Regulators persist in growing media and can carry into a following crop. Testing the medium alongside the plant is how growers find out whether the problem is this cycle or the bench it was grown on.
What comes back
A public certificate
Every result, the method, the instrument ID, the LOD and LOQ and the signature, verifiable by accession number with no login.
The filmed route
Your package opened on camera, a photograph of each container, and the footage retained for three years. Released to you on request.
A retained sample
Held 90 days, so any result can be rechecked by us or by an accredited laboratory of your choosing.
Questions about plant growth regulator testing
Is this included in your pesticide screen?
The common regulators are included in our multi-residue panel, but this focused panel goes lower and covers compounds a general screen can miss. If a buyer asks for PGRs by name, order this.
Why would a regulator show up if I did not use one?
Contaminated nutrients, reused media, or drift from a neighbouring operation. Sending the medium and the nutrient alongside the plant usually settles it in one submission.
What is the detection limit?
5 ppb for paclobutrazol and daminozide against certified reference standards. Each LOQ prints beside its result.
Do you test the nutrient solution?
Yes. Send 250 mL in a clean bottle and we report ppb per analyte, which is the fastest way to clear or convict an input.
