Verify a certificate

Look up any certificate Gold Standard Analytics has signed, no login. Enter the accession number printed on the certificate or scan its QR code. If a Gold Standard COA doesn't resolve here, it isn't one of ours.

Search public certificates by sample accession, compound or lot

The number is the record

Each accession is minted at receiving with a check digit and printed on the vial label, the receiving footage and the certificate. A typo or a fabricated number fails the check before it reaches the database.

Nothing changes after signature

The signed payload is hashed with SHA-256 and published. Edit one character of the PDF and the hash no longer matches. Corrections are issued as new records and the original is marked retracted, never deleted.

Failures are here too

A lab that only publishes passes is publishing marketing. Every result the lab signs stays on record, and a vendor cannot remove one.

How to verify a certificate of analysis

  1. Find the accession number on the certificate, or scan its QR code.
  2. Enter it above. A Gold Standard Analytics certificate opens its permanent record, signed by the laboratory, with the sample, methods and results.
  3. Compare that record with the PDF you were given: product, lot, results, dates and signatory should match exactly.
  4. For a certificate from another laboratory, check it with that laboratory, not with the seller who sent it.

Signs a COA may not be genuine

  1. No accession number, QR code or way to check it with the issuing laboratory.
  2. The lab cannot be found, has no address, or does not list the test on its own website.
  3. A purity figure with no chromatogram, method or wavelength behind it.
  4. No identity test by mass spectrometry, so the peptide was never confirmed.
  5. Lot numbers, dates or fonts that do not match the vial or the lab's other certificates.
