Multi-residue pesticide testing in produce, botanicals, soil and water

Pesticides span polar and non-polar chemistries, so one instrument misses half the list. We extract by QuEChERS and run both LC-MS/MS and GC-MS multi-residue panels, with glyphosate and AMPA as a separate derivatized method because they do not survive a generic screen.

Accepted: Produce, 500 g Dried botanicals, 50 g Soil, 250 g Water, 1 L Finished foods

Compounds: Organophosphates Carbamates Neonicotinoids Pyrethroids Triazoles Strobilurins Organochlorines Glyphosate and AMPA

Why the method matters

Two platforms, not one

A single LC-MS/MS screen misses organochlorines and many pyrethroids; a GC-only screen misses neonicotinoids and carbamates. We run both from one QuEChERS extract.

Isotope-labeled internal standards

Matrix effects in botanicals suppress or enhance signal. Labeled internal standards correct for it so a low result is real, not an artifact.

Authentic Agilent bench, OEM consumables

Every instrument was bought new through Agilent, Charles River and MilliporeSigma authorized channels, installed and performance-qualified by certified engineers, and serviced by Quantum Analytics. Columns, lamps, seals, cartridges, canisters and reference standards are OEM or Thermo Fisher lot-traced; no third-party refills, no re-used cartridges, no expired lysate. The instrument ID, column lot and standard lot are printed on every certificate.

Questions about pesticides testing

Can I see the video of my sample being opened?

Yes. Every package is opened on camera, each container is photographed, and the footage is linked to your accession. Custody video and photos are kept for three years; the retained sample itself is kept 90 days for guarantee retests.

What happens if my result fails?

It is published like any other result, with the method, instrument and specification shown. You may order a retest of the retained sample; we never re-run to obtain a better number.

How many pesticides are on the panel?

Over 350 across the LC-MS/MS and GC-MS lists; the analyte list ships with the certificate.

Why is glyphosate separate?

It is too polar for generic extraction and ionization; it needs derivatization and its own calibration.

What sample size?

500 g produce, 50 g dried material, 250 g soil, 1 L water; glyphosate needs 50 g more.
